About This Event
Celebrate the rhythm and spirit of samba right here in Eugene! The Axé Samba Festival is a free, all-ages event bursting with vibrant music, movement, and cultural diversity. Featuring incredible samba bands from Seattle, Portland, Arcata and your local Samba Ja, featuring members of the UO student, faculty, postdoc and staff community, this is the perfect day to dance, groove, and soak in the infectious energy of Brazilian rhythms. Families, music lovers, and curious newcomers are all welcome. Beyond the music, guests can enjoy delicious food and hands-on drum workshops. This is a fantastic way to connect with the art form up close. Brought to you by the City of Eugene Art in the Parks program and Kiva Grocery & Deli, this celebration of community and culture is not to be missed. Come for the beats, stay for the joy! Join us at the Eugene Riverfront Park on Saturday, August 1, 2026. The festival begins at 11am through 5pm.
