About This Event
Led by Music Director Alex Prior, the Eugene Symphony opens the season with Stravinsky's Firebird Suite , a dazzling showpiece of glittering orchestration and blazing finale. Joining it is Anna Clyne's Color Field , inspired by the luminous canvases of Mark Rothko and unfolding in radiant waves of sound and color. The program culminates in Antonín Dvořák's Symphony No. 9, From the New World , whose sweeping melodies and expansive spirit have made it a cornerstone of the repertoire for generations.
