About This Event

The “National Emergency Briefing” film brings together leading experts to explain the climate and nature crisis clearly, honestly and without political spin. This excellent film is a documentary featuring ten leading experts who speak about the climate and nature crisis we face and practical actions which can be taken to address it. Produced in the UK it documents an “emergency briefing” in November of last year to over 1,200 politicians and leaders from business, culture, faith, sport and the media in London. The briefing set out the implications of climate and nature breakdown for health, food systems, national security and the economy. Even though the film was originally intended for UK audiences and has been shown over 3,000 times to date there alone, it is being shown in many other countries including Canada and the US. More information can be found at Visit nebriefing.org Our M.C. is Ernie Niemi. He is a scientist and a natural resource economist trained at UO and Harvard and will introduce and direct questions. The movie is free and open to the community. There will be a short time for questions and discussion. There is a recommended minimum age of 16.
